Iowa Dress Code

Iowa FCCLA Events are excellent opportunities for members to convey to others the positive and professional image of FCCLA. Chapter advisers and chaperones are responsible for enforcing the dress code policy with their members. Delegates and guests not adhereing to the dress code policy will not be admitted into sessions.

 

The following dress code will be enforced at Fall Leadership Rally, Day at the Capitol, State Leadership Conference and STAR Events Recognition Ceremony.

Student Members

FCCLA Red blazer is encouraged

  • Red, black, or white polo or professional white shirt (long or short sleeves)

  • Black bottoms (slacks, skirt, sheath dress)

  • Shoes (black preferred)

Advisers/Guests
  • Business casual

Inappropriate Attire
  • Jeans

  • T-shirts

  • Athletic Wear (i.e. sweat suits, yoga pants)

The following articles of clothing are NOT mentioned in the dress code as inappropriate but FCCLA members should refrain from wearing these to assist in creating a professional image:

  • flip flops

  • flats (they are not dress shoes nor sandals)

  • tennis shoes

  • yoga pants (these are not dress slacks).
