National Policy Seminar

Dates to be Announced Soon

The National Policy Seminar is an opportunity for our members to work with others involved in Career and Technical Education (CTE) to:

  • shape Carl D. Perkins reauthorization efforts;

  • communicate to policymakers the crucial role Perkins funding and effective CTE programs play in providing career exploration and opportunities for students nation-wide; and

  • celebrate and proudly present "I am CTE" to policymakers and education and workforce development leaders.

Iowa is one the few states that take student leaders to share the impact that CTE and CTSO's have had on their education and personal lives. The impact students have as a member of our Iowa contingency at the NPS is substantial  - your experiences have the ability to "speak" to policymakers more than any handout or brief.
