Voting Delegates

Basic Information

Per the bylaws of our State Association, each chapter is allowed two voting delegates to vote on business matters - electing state officers, voting on proposed bylaw changes, etc. - at the annual State Leadership Conference.

A voting delegate must be an affiliated member, are elected by their chapter members and take this responsibility seriously.

Beginning with the 2017 State Leadership Conference, delegates will no longer receive a packet of information at the conference in an effort to conserve resources; the information will be posted 30 days [at minimum] for chapters/voting delegates to review and talk about within their chapters.

Tips for making this a successful experience:

  • print out the Voting Delegate Rubric;

  • print out the Officer Candidate Packet, if desired;

  • schedule a special meeting for your chapter to review and discuss the business of the Association to be conducted at the State Leadership Conference; and

  • bring your completed Voting Delegate Rubric to the State Leadership Conference.
